Actors: Heidi Coombs-Thorne; In May 2015, Janet Edmonds was informed that despite two years of surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, her stage-1 breast cancer had metastasized to stage-4. It was a devastating diagnosis, and one which thousands of women and men face every day. For Janet, the diagnosis was a harsh reminder that no one knows what lies ahead and that every day of your life is truly precious. Janet began sharing her thoughts and experiences with friends on social media, having chosen to cope publicly with her diagnosis with humour, optimism, and grace. This is a film about embracing life after a devastating medical diagnosis; of appreciating each day and living life to the fullest as much as you possibly can. Janet is a talented theatre and film actor who has delighted local audiences for more than 30 years. In the summer of 2015, after receiving her stage-4 diagnosis, she decided there was no time like the present to do what she loves - theatre! She played Lady Macbeth in the Perchance Theatre production of Macbeth at Cupids in Newfoundland and Labrador. Although she was also undergoing rigorous sessions of chemotherapy at the same time, Janet revelled in the role and the entire theatre experience. By the end of the summer, her health had improved such that one of her tumours had shrunk.
